Hello colleagues and friends,
It is most appropriate to mention this festive period despite the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Happy Easter to all and a happy holiday as it is declared in Nigeria.
Most of our programs are on course but still faced with the physical interactions that we so enjoy in SPE in the past. We have started trying hybrid events. A whole physical event may be difficult at this time until the board approves. Many companies presence of employees at the office is still less than 35% /company.
Also, we have been challenged with sponsorship with our traditional sponsors. We are re-inventing the way our events are sponsored and we would appreciate you drop your comments. We would certainly get back to let you know the way forward soon on sponsorship. We are also continuing the tradition of courtesy visits to our sponsors and affiliations.
Amidst all these, we've had so much impactful programs since the beginning of the board. As we are getting closer to the end of the board, there are still several programs lined-up. It would be most appropriate that you follow our social media where you are most updated of our programs. I have also directed that these programs are sent to the emails of SPE members.
We will be pleased that you join us with all the good works if you are not already a SPE member. If you are a SPE member and have not renewed your membership, this is also the best opportunity to remind you. If you need any administrative support, kindly let me know.
Finally, if there is any help you can render to support our students and young professionals in transit, kindly let me know and would give you the appropriate channel to lend your help. Times are also very tough because of unemployment affecting most of the YPs. The students period is also mired with incessant and prolonged strike actions by the universities academic unit. We have been supporting the students and YPs with data to attend online programs. We will continue to support in all ways to keep them mentally fit and your advise too would be needed.
